The South African Funeral Practitioners Association (SAFPA), through its Women’s Desk, will host a prestigious Leadership Conference at the Premier Hotel, East London, on Wednesday, 27 August 2025.
The conference will bring together leaders, industry professionals, and stakeholders from the insurance, financial services, and marketing sectors to engage on issues of leadership, governance, transformation, and professional development in the funeral services industry.
With a line-up of distinguished speakers, including representatives from the Financial Sector Conduct Authority (FSCA), National Funeral Leaders Association (NFLA), Splendid Marketing, Insurance Institute of South Africa (IISA), and the Insurance Sector Education and Training Authority (INSETA), the programme promises to deliver robust discussions and actionable insights.
The theme focuses on empowering women leaders, driving collaboration, and innovating for industry growth. Keynote addresses, panel discussions, and networking sessions will give attendees opportunities to share knowledge and explore new partnerships.
SAFPA President, Dr. Nomfundo Mcoyi-Zondo, emphasised the importance of multi-sector collaboration in advancing the industry:
“Government institutions play a critical role in supporting the private sector to thrive, particularly in industries such as ours that have a direct impact on communities. It is equally important to ensure that women in male-dominated sectors are empowered, equipped, and given opportunities to lead. The SAFPA Women’s Desk is committed to creating spaces like this conference to drive change and inspire action.”
The SAFPA Women’s Desk invites members of the media to attend and cover this important event. Your coverage will help highlight the contributions of women leaders in the sector and the important conversations shaping the future of the industry.
