The public will learn why comedian Tsepiso Nzayo falls short and his motivation for “running” from alcohol.
This will take place during the middle of the week when everyone is off for Freedom Day.
This comedian will humorously address the events of his relationship and drinking life in his show titled Single & Sober Comedy Special with Tsepiso Nzayo.
After years of making jokes on stage, Nzayo tells I’solezwe lesiXhosa that he is now ready to disclose a personal aspect of his life.
“This idea arose after I realised, I have a lot to say about my journey to quit drinking and my failure to last in relationships,” he explained.
Nzayo thinks that every experience in life has something to teach us.
The comedian says that he had been planning to stop drinking for a while but had been waiting for the appropriate moment.
“Something has to tell you to stop drinking in order to stop. Nobody can persuade you to give up. I gave myself motivation and weaned myself off using the 2022 Comrades Marathon. Comrades came and went, but I made the decision to stop drinking,” said Nzayo.
He also disclosed that he will be accompanied by two comedians, whom he did not name.
Nzayo is also a published author. He just recently published a new collection of poems in isiXhosa. He found the response from those who purchased the book to be exciting.
Tsepiso will be performing in Makhanda on April 26, Gqeberha on April 27, and King William’s Town on Friday, April 28 for those who wish to hear him share his life events.
He begins at 8pm in all three cities.
Tickets are available through Computicket or directly from him at 073 966 1583.
