Toddler sole survivor of killing spree

Two sisters, Phindile Matrose and Cikiwaza Matrose, were among the six victims shot dead at Phindile’s house on Ramba Street in New Brighton, Gqeberha.

Luningi Kitsane and Noxolo Tom are two of the six victims, the other two, a woman and a man’s identities are unknown.

Only a three-year-old boy, Cikizwa’s child, survived the incident that occurred in this house where the victims were shot.

According to a police report, neighbours heard gunshots in the house early Saturday morning and went to investigate when they discovered the door open.

When they entered the house, they discovered four bodies, three of which were women and one of which was a man. One woman was discovered in the kitchen, another in the bedroom, and the child, a boy, was found with no visible injuries.
